My Vengence has Ended!

This experience has certainly confused me with the minor difference between cinematic cut-scene times and gameplay. One moment you're watching a very enormous movement of a Titan's hand. Then you spotted a speck of dust moving to our controller's movement and realized it's Kratos. As the camera zooms in, your enemies appear and the game breaks into the normal gameplay. The transitions are great. Giving you the sense of Epicness on a larger scale. As usual the real-time action scenes are so darn exciting. Krato practically flew everywhere and could do almost anything to anyone, Gods or Titans. It doesn't fking matters to a very angry blog of rageball called Kratos. He just blast through all of them.

Near the end sequence, there is a part of the experience which reminds me much of Max Payne. Been a while since games tried this approach. Certainly enables the storytellers to express themselvesin another form that touches our inner feelings.

This is my 2nd AAA game this year, after Bioshock 2. A good year for PS3 indeed.

4 years after its release, I've finally completed this game thanks to the release of God of War Collection on PS3.

Even at this age, this 4 years old game still has its appeal and the tuned up graphics certainly lessen the impact of aged pixels. The intensity and rage was still burning good and should be played by every self-respected gamer. It's not an easy game and the satisfaction gained from plunging the Sword of Artemis into Ares is well earned.

I tried the God of War 3 Demo after and was wowed by the great leap to HDMI format for the game. It almost was like watching a movie. Cannot wait for the game to be released in March 2010.

It was dark. A loud shriek echoes sparks my footsteps into a frenzy pace. There wasn't any moment to look back. Dodging branches and roots, I run and run forward, oblivious to the darkness in front. "SNAP" "SNAP" "SNAP" Loud sharp sounds inches nearer and and nearer despite the speed I swirl though the forest grounds. It is coming closer and closer! Images of crimson fangs fill the mind as my legs climbed the thick undergrowth that the eyes barely picked up in the alluring moonlight.

When I first heard this song, it gives me a feeling that I was in 1 of those shops in Japanese like Akiharaba or Shibuya that has those black makeup girls (101 Girls I think). It's like so bubbly and JPOPish that I love it so much. I admit I went back to Naomi's Lab just to listen to it ^-^ Oh, I just hit like 35 listens in 2 days :)

This music is so spirit-lifting. The game is so great that it's beyond words. It has such a distinct punkish Japanesezy stlye with a parody of so many things.

Their second song is called Breeze. It's very nice and I like it too.

Went for a few PvP in WSG for daily. Woo, Spotted a few merciless warriors. And a full PvP set Hunter with 65K HKs! Horde decided to exploit and waste time.

Just went and watched Vexille with WW, CL and CX. The graphics is nice, cell shaded goodness and all, but the story was pretty much predictable and flat, not really in depth. But still worth a watch IMO

1 of the worst year in my life has come to an end. While I know many more are to come before my eventual departure to 'other lands', I need a break from the bad luck. Just let the evil get what they deserves and the good, their due rewards.

Went for a run in H-Sekketh Halls with Kang and his guildies. Was with a MT, a hunter and a restro druid. CC doesn't work in this place so I was forced to OT some of the pulls. We managed to pull through after a few misses and got 4 badges! I even got invited into the guild, "Spanish Inquisitions".

Been scouring an article about warriors and spot some really interesting take on warriors in WoW. Here's some to share.

2. One of my favorite things about my warrior is that the stats on your gear really matter and have an immediate and noticeable effect on your character's performance. Yes, we are gear dependent. We are lucky!

Lets face it, all of the coolest looking weapons and weapon enchants belong to the melee classes. Nothing looks cooler than a whirling buzzsaw of melee carnage that shouts, charges, intercepts, and delivers a frenized beat down while looking awesome with sweet shiny enchants. Your scrolling combat text pukes crits all over your screen and blood flies everywhere. YES PLEASE!

Best of all, your power bar is not energy or mana, IT'S RAGE! Throw in your Last Action Hero CD and turn on Angry Again by Medadeth and then go lay the smack down on the Shade of Aran. Mmm, Delicious!

There is nothing like the Warrior. By far the most fun class in the game.

20. The life of a warrior, with the right gear and expertise, is a multi-faceted plethora of beautiful moments full of carnage, grace, and skill. I submit to you, a montage of possibilities:

1) Tanking those devastatingly-powerful bosses while maintaining the raid and assigning raid icons on the fly in the middle of battle. You might even by mouseover-sundering or tab-target-switching out with a couple of adds and holding aggro on them as well in a raid or heroic and you know that you're the one making it possible if not easy for the rest to wade through the antagonists with reckless abandon.

2) You've respecced 31/30 for arenas so you can get max dps and keep Mortal Strike up on your target to counteract as much healing as possible. One of your teammates drops a windfury totem near you, that enemy priest gets a half a second to look you in the eye from a distance as if staring at an oncoming train, you charge, MS, sword-spec proc, windfury, crit some of them, and he... just... explodes.

3) You're mid-zone by the flag spawn in Eye Of The Storm, prot-specced and wearing a combo of PvP and PvE gear. You have a high mixture of AC, HP, defense, and resilience, and you've decided to keep your shield on. The Horde wash over you like a red tide, and a healer or two out there are keeping you up. Thunderclap... spell reflect spam.. demo shout.. parry... dodge... block... conc blow... intimidating shout... shield wall... last stand... maybe a pot... then a judiciously-used healthstone... they throw everything they have at you, but they just can't take you down.

4) Tanking two WM's in AV with a single healer while the rest of the meager non-afk raid focus on surviving and killing a third WM as a result of one of those all-too-frequent bad pulls by those that don't know better.

5) Watching Omen occasionally during just about any raid and enjoying the sense of confidence you get from knowing that the walking corpse in front of you is going to lay a finger on one of your friends over your dead body.. and your chances of dying while your friends are keeping your health up is VERY slim indeed.

6) Somehow inadvertently getting extra mobs as part of a bad pull in a Heroic and almost single-handedly derailing that train in a fashion that would make any enchanter from Everquest green with envy. You stop to think about all the abilities you just used at just the right time in rapid succession to pull it off, then wonder what playing piano must feel like by comparison.

紅星客串卡士強勁當中最為矚目的要算是安室，其新大碟《PLAY》剛連續兩周奪得銷量榜首位。當晚個唱踏入第二次安哥時，安室突然現身，身穿碎花連身短裙並展示修長美腿，跟MC VERBAL載歌載舞《Luvotomy》，氣氛頓時High爆！全場約萬三名觀眾無不站起來，安室亦表示非常開心，希望能再有機會合作演出。

"The Motherland" is a monumental statue by sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad and dedicated in 1967. The significant structural engineering challenges of the 84 meter tall, 7900 ton sculpture were handled by Nikolai Nikitin. Measured from the tip of her sword to the top of the plinth, the distance is 85 meters. It is located on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd.

9. Buddha of Bamyan, Afghanistan

The Buddha of Bamyan were monumental statue of standing Buddha carved into the side of a cliff in the Bamyan valley of central Afghanistan, situated 230 km northwest of Kabul. 55 meters tall. It were destroyed by the Taliban in 2001. Japan, Switzerland, and UNESCO, among others, have pledged support for the rebuilding of the statues.

The Buddhas of Bamyan (Pashto: د بودا بتان په باميانو کې De Buda butan pe bamiyano ke, Persian: تندیس‌های بودا در باميان tandis-ha-ye buda dar bamiyaan) were two monumental statues of standing Buddhas carved into the side of a cliff in the Bamyan valley of central Afghanistan, situated 230 km (143 miles) northwest of Kabul at an altitude of 2500 meters (8,202 feet). Built during the 6th century, the statues represented the classic blended style of Greco-Buddhist art.

The main bodies were hewn directly from the sandstone cliffs, but details were modelled in mud mixed with straw, coated with stucco. This coating, practically all of which was worn away long ago, was painted to enhance the expressions of the faces, hands and folds of the robes; the larger one was painted carmine red and the smaller one was painted multiple colors[2]. The lower parts of the statues' arms were constructed from the same mud-straw mix while supported on wooden armatures. It is believed that the upper parts of their faces were made from great wooden masks or casts. The rows of holes that can be seen in photographs were spaces that held wooden pegs which served to stabilize the outer stucco.

They were destroyed by the Taliban with the assistance of Pakistani and Saudi engineers in 2001. Japan, Switzerland, and UNESCO, among others, have pledged support for the rebuilding of the statues.

10. Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Christ the Redeemer is a large Art Deco-style statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statue stands 32 m tall, weighs 1000 tons and is located at the peak of the 710-m Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park, overlooking the city.

As well as being a potent symbol of Christianity, the statue has become an icon of the city.

Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor), is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statue stands 38 m (105 feet) tall, weighs 700 tons and is located at the peak of the 700-m (2296-foot) Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park, overlooking the city.

As well as being a potent symbol of the Roman Catholic Church, the statue has become an icon of Rio and Brazil.

History

The idea for erecting a large statue atop Corcovado had been around since the mid 1850s, when Catholic priest Pedro Maria Boss requested financing from Princess Isabel to build a large religious monument. Princess Isabel did not think much of the idea, which was completely dismissed in 1889, when Brazil became a Republic, with laws mandating the separation of church and state.

The second proposal for a large landmark statue on the mountain was made in 1921 by the Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro. The archdiocese organized an event called Semana do Monumento ("Monument Week") to attract donations, which came mostly from Brazilian Catholics. The designs considered for the "Statue of the Christ" included a representation of the Christian cross, a statue of Jesus with a globe in his hands, and a pedestal symbolizing the world. Eventually the statue of Christ the Redeemer with open arms was chosen.

Local engineer Heitor da Silva Costa was chosen to oversee the construction of the new monument, to be designed by Polish-French monument sculptor Paul Landowski. A group of engineers and technicians studied Landowski's submissions and the decision was made to build the structure out of reinforced concrete (designed by Albert Caquot) instead of steel, more suitable for the cross-shaped statue. The outer layers of the statue are soapstone, chosen for its enduring qualities and ease of use.^[1] The stone for the monument was taken from Limhamn, in Malmö, Sweden.

The monument was opened on October 12, 1931.

In October 2006, on the statue's 75th anniversary, Archbishop of Rio Cardinal Eusebio Oscar Scheid consecrated a chapel (named for the patron saint of Brazil - Nossa Senhora Aparecida) under the statue. This allows Catholics to hold baptisms and weddings there.

On July 7th, 2007, Christ the Redeemer was voted as one of New Open World Corporation's New Seven Wonders of the World.

傳統的結婚進行曲已經不稀奇，放點經典好歌才夠亮，「永遠的結婚進行曲TOP10」對900名10到30歲的女性做調查，即將推出新專輯「PLAY」的安室奈美惠以「CAN YOU CELEBRATE？」稱后，這首歌曲在1997年推出後就變成許多女性的夢幻結婚進行曲，無論是旋律或歌詞都流露出那瞬間的幸福感。

Yeah, bought 3 magazines with Namie on cover, receiving strange eyes from both cashiers @ Kino :) But the high res pics are so nice! Totally worth it. I took photos instead of scanning it as I do not want to spoilt it. Also bought the long overdued Baby Don't Cry Single but still lacking the CD edition.

I was on the Blizz WoW General Forums refreshing every 15 seconds, and was aggressively refreshing the other blog with a reporter on the grounds of Blizzard's WWI show floor in Seoul, Korea itself.

Here's some extract of the intense moments...

2:41 - Interviewing a WC3 player. Female MC and size of crowd is making him nervous. Another joke in Korean. Now the female MC is complimenting his smile, he's visibly squirming.

3:45 - Now they're taking the oath saying they'll play for "for the races of each title" and their home country whom they're representing.

2:47 - Here we go, they're going to announce something.

FALSE ALARM

2:49 - Mike Morhaime takes stage to make announcement.

2:52 - Showing WC3 footage. When they showed Diablo footage the Deckard Cain "stay a while an listen" line got a cheer from the crowd.

2:55 - Now showing WoW footage - more cheers from crowd.

2:57 - Showing another movie, presumably of game footage.

SUPER INTENSE MOMENT...

3:00 - FMV sequence in a spaceship - looks Terran - zooming in on a metal door - door opening - reveals a guy with a cigar in chains - prisoner - door shuts behind him - there's so much bass the room is shaking - guy steps into some kind of metallic device - legs are strapped in - guy rising toward ceiling - Korean text on screen got people very excited - another part of the machine is dropping metal arms on him - machine whirring - applying armor to his torso - extremly detailed visuals here - now guy is strapping on gloves - armor is finally coming together - seems like a Terran marine - rocket jets turn on - zerg now onscreen - Marine delivers a line in Korean - StarCraft 2 officially announced.

The Nintendo Wii console alone is priced at S$499 /w GST (Goods Service Tax).
