日韓樂壇天后安室奈美惠和BoA前日突襲橫濱Arena，以特別嘉賓身份客串組合m-flo的演唱會，大騷美腿跟兩名成員合唱，成功辣現場約一萬三千名觀眾！人氣二人組合m-flo過去積極跟各方歌手作破天荒合作，曾與倖田來未、安室奈美惠、BONNIE PINK、CHARA和Crystal Kay等41個歌手單位合唱，並以「Loves」系列之名發行唱片，廣受樂迷愛戴。適逢系列的最後一張大碟「COSMICOLOR」於月前面世，他們昨日假橫濱Arena舉行全國巡迴個唱尾場，獲18位嘉賓助陣，卡士強勁。
紅星客串卡士強勁當中最為矚目的要算是安室，其新大碟《PLAY》剛連續兩周奪得銷量榜首位。當晚個唱踏入第二次安哥時，安室突然現身，身穿碎花連身短裙並展示修長美腿，跟MC VERBAL載歌載舞《Luvotomy》，氣氛頓時High爆！全場約萬三名觀眾無不站起來，安室亦表示非常開心，希望能再有機會合作演出。
至於身在韓國的BoA亦特地趕回日本捧場，認真畀面！她與VERBAL合唱《the Love Bug》一曲，而其白色熱褲打扮，絕不讓安室專美。事後眾藝人在後台聚首一堂，連avex社長松浦勝人均參與其中。

Can't really put down anime as I'm also some sort of addict. Guess will find 'other' ways to watch anime without getting caught. Seems like anything that you do in singapore can be charged if you do not pay MONEY for it. So sad mankind has come to such a state... When I thought art is suppose to be appreciated and the internet is liberal.

Went down to Downtown East with my newly gathered gang to experience cosplay event. It's a first for some of them. Was sort of disappointing, but will plan another trip to EOY! It will be much better i suppose.

7. "The Motherland" statue, Volgograd, Russia
"The Motherland" is a monumental statue by sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad and dedicated in 1967. The significant structural engineering challenges of the 84 meter tall, 7900 ton sculpture were handled by Nikolai Nikitin. Measured from the tip of her sword to the top of the plinth, the distance is 85 meters. It is located on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd.

9. Buddha of Bamyan, Afghanistan
The Buddha of Bamyan were monumental statue of standing Buddha carved into the side of a cliff in the Bamyan valley of central Afghanistan, situated 230 km northwest of Kabul. 55 meters tall. It were destroyed by the Taliban in 2001. Japan, Switzerland, and UNESCO, among others, have pledged support for the rebuilding of the statues.

The Buddhas of Bamyan (Pashto: د بودا بتان په باميانو کې De Buda butan pe bamiyano ke, Persian: تندیسهای بودا در باميان tandis-ha-ye buda dar bamiyaan) were two monumental statues of standing Buddhas carved into the side of a cliff in the Bamyan valley of central Afghanistan, situated 230 km (143 miles) northwest of Kabul at an altitude of 2500 meters (8,202 feet). Built during the 6th century, the statues represented the classic blended style of Greco-Buddhist art.
The main bodies were hewn directly from the sandstone cliffs, but details were modelled in mud mixed with straw, coated with stucco. This coating, practically all of which was worn away long ago, was painted to enhance the expressions of the faces, hands and folds of the robes; the larger one was painted carmine red and the smaller one was painted multiple colors[2]. The lower parts of the statues' arms were constructed from the same mud-straw mix while supported on wooden armatures. It is believed that the upper parts of their faces were made from great wooden masks or casts. The rows of holes that can be seen in photographs were spaces that held wooden pegs which served to stabilize the outer stucco.
They were destroyed by the Taliban with the assistance of Pakistani and Saudi engineers in 2001. Japan, Switzerland, and UNESCO, among others, have pledged support for the rebuilding of the statues.

Alrighty, you've probably seen this before but I'm just gotta post it anyways. Over a span of 10 days, I hope. Source is from a certain site that I'll put up in the end. I find this series of pictures and info very interesting and awesome so please be patient!
10. Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Christ the Redeemer is a large Art Deco-style statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statue stands 32 m tall, weighs 1000 tons and is located at the peak of the 710-m Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park, overlooking the city.
As well as being a potent symbol of Christianity, the statue has become an icon of the city.

Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor), is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statue stands 38 m (105 feet) tall, weighs 700 tons and is located at the peak of the 700-m (2296-foot) Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park, overlooking the city.
As well as being a potent symbol of the Roman Catholic Church, the statue has become an icon of Rio and Brazil.
History
The idea for erecting a large statue atop Corcovado had been around since the mid 1850s, when Catholic priest Pedro Maria Boss requested financing from Princess Isabel to build a large religious monument. Princess Isabel did not think much of the idea, which was completely dismissed in 1889, when Brazil became a Republic, with laws mandating the separation of church and state.
The second proposal for a large landmark statue on the mountain was made in 1921 by the Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro. The archdiocese organized an event called Semana do Monumento ("Monument Week") to attract donations, which came mostly from Brazilian Catholics. The designs considered for the "Statue of the Christ" included a representation of the Christian cross, a statue of Jesus with a globe in his hands, and a pedestal symbolizing the world. Eventually the statue of Christ the Redeemer with open arms was chosen.
Local engineer Heitor da Silva Costa was chosen to oversee the construction of the new monument, to be designed by Polish-French monument sculptor Paul Landowski. A group of engineers and technicians studied Landowski's submissions and the decision was made to build the structure out of reinforced concrete (designed by Albert Caquot) instead of steel, more suitable for the cross-shaped statue. The outer layers of the statue are soapstone, chosen for its enduring qualities and ease of use.[1] The stone for the monument was taken from Limhamn, in Malmö, Sweden.
The monument was opened on October 12, 1931.
In October 2006, on the statue's 75th anniversary, Archbishop of Rio Cardinal Eusebio Oscar Scheid consecrated a chapel (named for the patron saint of Brazil - Nossa Senhora Aparecida) under the statue. This allows Catholics to hold baptisms and weddings there.
On July 7th, 2007, Christ the Redeemer was voted as one of New Open World Corporation's New Seven Wonders of the World.

六月是日本結婚熱潮，日本oricon style網站票選出「永遠的結婚進行曲TOP10」，結果由安室奈美惠的「CAN YOU CELEBRATE？」以壓倒性的票數登上冠軍，亞軍則是平民雙人組可苦可樂「永遠在一起」獲得，這首歌因為日前被藤原紀香老公陣內智則在婚禮上演唱而再度受到歡迎。
傳統的結婚進行曲已經不稀奇，放點經典好歌才夠亮，「永遠的結婚進行曲TOP10」對900名10到30歲的女性做調查，即將推出新專輯「PLAY」的安室奈美惠以「CAN YOU CELEBRATE？」稱后，這首歌曲在1997年推出後就變成許多女性的夢幻結婚進行曲，無論是旋律或歌詞都流露出那瞬間的幸福感。

Yeah, bought 3 magazines with Namie on cover, receiving strange eyes from both cashiers @ Kino :) But the high res pics are so nice! Totally worth it. I took photos instead of scanning it as I do not want to spoilt it. Also bought the long overdued Baby Don't Cry Single but still lacking the CD edition.
